What is this blog about?

Hello! How are you? Great? Good! You may be wondering what this blog is all about. I only recently set up this blog, and have written a grand total of one whole article! Woah! I had hoped to crank out approximately 1 or two a week, but life always has a way of getting in between what I want to happen, and what actually does. Hence, the purpose of this "update/what do I plan to do here" post. So, onward.

So, what exactly am I going to be posting? Well for starters, I plan for the blog to be a resource that anyone can use to educate themselves, and hopefully others, about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse/dependency. If you read my first post on here, you will notice that it was written in a witty and comical voice, while also hopefully providing useful and actionable information. Sadly, while I do enjoy writing in that style, not everything can be viewed/written about while looking through rose-tinted lenses. Some topics are too serious to make light of. Never fear though, this blog is intended for the millennial age group, so I will try my hardest to keep a good balance of witty humour topics, and down to earth serious things. As for topics, I have a few ideas that I am working on, about 8 total article ideas as of right now. They range from myths about alcohol and drugs, and about alcohol and food (just wait... I swear it'll be interesting and blow your mind a bit), and more serious topics like how to tell if you or someone you know may be sliding down the slippery slope to chemical dependency, and the signs of getting drugged and how to deal with it. Like I said, some of these topics will be silly, and some will definitely get a little heavy and possibly hit home... hard. It will never be my intention to offend or trigger anyone, but instead, to encourage and facilitate intellectual discussion, both within the comments section and in real life. That being said, if I do unintentionally offend someone, please, please, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me through the comments. I'll leave my personal email below as well in case someone feels as though a more one-on-one conversation would be more appropriate.

Well, that concludes this "very not like the previous" blog post. Stay tuned for more!
